- 1. What is inclusive in this Surf with U promotional package?
- You will be receiving a:

- You will be receiving a:
- 2. Is there an activation fee involve upon registering for Surf with U?
- There is an activation fee of RM50 charged upon registration.
- 3. Do I have to pay for any monthly charges?
- Yes, there is a monthly fee charge of RM78.
- 4. What is the connection speed?
- You are able to surf up to 3.6Mbps download speed.
- 5. What is the usage limit for this mobile broadband package?
- Surf with U offers you unlimited usage, however to curb abuse to the service and network congestion, each subscriber is allowed to use up to 5G per month according to bill statement date.
- 6. What is the warranty for the modem?
- The warranty is 1 year from the date of purchase.
- 7. What does your warranty cover? Product? Parts? USIM Card?
- The warranty covers the USB Modem and the accessories in the package excluding the USIM card.
- 8. Can I make voice or video calls and send SMS or MMS?
- Surf with U is a mobile broadband package; hence you will not be able to make or receive calls, make video calls and send or receive SMS or MMS. Mobile LiveTV™ service is also not available with this plan.
- 9. Can it access to Mobile Live TV™ Channels via U Mobile homepage since U Mobile launched this service?
- No, you can’t as this plan does not include access to our Mobile Live TV™ service.
- 10 Will I still be charged if I don’t use the service?
- Yes, you will still be charged a monthly fee charge of RM78 even if you are not using the service as this is an unlimited use of broadband service package.
- 11. Do I get to replace my USIM card if it is found faulty? Are there any charges required?
- Yes, you can get your USIM replaced. There will be no charges for faulty USIMs however there will be RM20 charged for lost or stolen USIMs.
- 12. If I would like to cancel my contract, what are the charges?
- If you cancel your contract within the 8-days trial period, the activation fee of RM50 will be refunded to you and you are required to return the Surf with U package (a ZTE MF622 HSDPA USB Modem, two USB cables, a DVD case, a CD, a warranty card, a user guide and a U Mobile USIM card) in brand new condition. If the Surf with U package returned is not in good working condition, you will be charged RM799. If the contract cancellation is after the 8-days trial period, a penalty charge of RM799 (USB Modem) + RM78 (1 month fee) will be incurred and the activation fee of RM50 is not refundable.
- 13. If I lost my modem and I still want to continue the service, can I temporarily suspend my contract until I get my replacement modem and USIM card? Would there be any charges for re-activation of contract?
- Yes, you would need to call us at 018 388 1318 and report the lost modem & USIM. We will temporarily suspend your contract and there will be no charges incurred to reactivate your contract. However there will be a charge of RM20 to replace the lost USIM.
- 14. My contract is still within the 8-days trial period. I wish to terminate my contract and my modem is faulty. Do I have to pay for any penalty? Is my RM50 refundable?
- If you are still within the 8 days trial period and the modem is faulty, you will need to pay RM799 as a penalty charge. Unless the modem is faulty due to manufacturing defect, then no penalty charges will incur and the activation fee of RM50 will be refunded.
- 15. Is U Mobile selling only data package? Do you have a more comprehensive plan that includes voice?
- There will be other plans available in the future, however currently only Surf with U plan is offered to subscribers.
